BBPD= Back By Popular Demand

Listen people- I am…beyond flattered by your concern for my blog. I think it’s very sweet and I still sometimes wonder why the heck you would all want to sit down and read my blog about runny noses, temper tantrums, and Mac n cheese. When asked where my blog has been, it is usually accompanied by the question, “Why did you stop writing your blog?” Ready for a little honesty? While there isn’t just one response, the main reason that I haven’t been writing is because I haven’t been feeling very inspired by this Nanny Life and it was making for some pretty grouchy dialogue. I love my chicks and all the time we spend together, but these chicks are A LOT of work, and I was starting to feel like I realllllly needed my winter vacation…if you catch my drift. I needed time to myself. No whispering in the Starbucks drive-thru because someone is asleep, time for the dentist, and honestly- being able to say fuck and shit if I needed to without spelling it out! While most jobs you just clock out at the end of your 8 hours and you don’t talk about work till the next day, I am kind of- always clocked in. For my sake, my chicks sake, and my longevities sake…it’s time to clock out. That leads me to my resolutions for 2015. While on my little Christmas vacation (which has totally done its job and I feel rejuvenated) it’s got me thinking about things I’d like to work on for the new year. Here’s what I’m thinkin’

1. Unplugging from work once I’m “off” the clock…it’s harder than it looks people!

2. Start running ::jk!

3. Random acts of kindness. I did a few of these over Christmas and it made us all so happy! Owen went home and told his Mom that Nanny bought breakfast for some poor people…looks like we will be working on some different adjectives šŸ™‚

I’m sure I’ll add to that list but I don’t want to overload myself and then be like everyone else who screws over their resolutions. Did you set any resolutions for yourself? Hey- there’s always a little room for improvement. Hoping that little tweaks here and there will free up some time and energy to write to all my readers. I do get a lot of joy knowing that you’re waiting to see what’s been happenin’ in Nannyland…stay tuned- my chicks are getting older so I’ve got some pretty good stories locked and loaded to entertain you…oh , and I don’t think you’ve met Mia. She’s a new little dolly that I’ll introduce soon.

  1. So glad you are back!! Yay!! I completly understand the overload and how it dwindles away your inspiration and passion. I have been in the middle of it also. But we need to keep a grip on the little things in life that help keep us grounded. Good luck on your resolutions, you deserve a great new year!!
